comments and you.

yes, you.  hi.  how are ya?

I so often see that my visitor # is climbing and yet, so few comments.  I'm so glad that you like to check out photos of the girls and keep up on what we are doing.  I just wanted to tell you that you don't have to be afraid of the comment section.  The blog CAN be conversational too.

Not sure how to leave a comment?

I've prepared this lovely tutorial for you.

1. scroll to the bottom of the post- look for the word "comments."
(The arrow is just for effect and not really there)

comment1

2.  This little box will pop up.  Enter in a comment of your chosing and scroll it down.  (This is where the magic happens).

comment1

3. Once you've said all you needed to say (praises, love, general notes about how awesome I am), you can put the little radio button on "anonymous" just don't forget to sign your name so I know who you are.
(note: you can also chose the name /url option where you enter your name and you can leave the url part blank unless you want to link up to your own blog or something.)

comment1

4. Click Publish and you'll see this window.  (Minus the smiley face and fireworks.  I added those just so you'd know how happy I am when I get comments.)

comment1

5. If you want to see what your comment looks like - then you just click on that same "comments" word that you started out with.  This will let you see what other comments there are as well.  Oh yes.  I should remind you that they are public.  So don't leave anything there that you wouldn't want the general internetz to get a hold of...like your phone number or something.  Unless, you know - you want the general internetz calling you at all hours of the day and night.  Could be an interesting way to meet people.

Ok, so in all seriousness....feel free to leave as many (or as few) comments as you like.  It is just nice to know for sure that you are out there and enjoying the blog.

love you!

I lost April.

The month.  Not a person.  The month of April.  I lost it.

Have you seen it?

I decided that its just to overwhelming to all at once go back and catch everything up, all while continuing to get behind.  It makes me anxious just thinking about it.

So, I'm just going to pick it up with current happenings and then slowly post everything that has been going on for us in the last month.

Sound good?

Ok,

Here's another photo to hold you over.

For the record.  That is K, in one of my very first dance costumes.   (Nemo necklace not included.)  (Umbrella included).

oh! Hi!

After not posting for so long, I don't even know where to start.  But I was feeling the need to pop in and say hello again.  So much has been going on and I think my head is still spinning.  But I'm still around.  I have lots of photos to share.  I'll get to it.  Eventually.

Til then, I'll leave you with this one.

we are alive.

What a busy weekend.  I have pics to share, but they are still on the camera.

We went to Nebraska for a wedding.  I really didn't think we would make it with Little Mama being so sick on Thursday.  I had resolved that she and I would stay while C & K would go.

Lo and behold, Friday morning Little Mama woke up like nothing had ever been wrong.  She was perky, playful and hungry!  So, I quickly (VERY QUICKLY) packed for the 2 of us and we went!  I'm so glad we did.  It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time.  I will have pics, don't worry.

Today, though.  Miss K is sick.  She started to complain of a sore throat last night and didn't fight going to bed.  Today, more of the same and a fever.  We even missed a dance class tonight.

When I get a chance, I'll post pics.  Promise!

we are alive.

Even though you might not know it if this blog is the only regular contact you have with me.

It's been a busy week.

Nana and Papa Steve visited us over the weekend, to celebrate Little Mama's third birthday.

And the last 2 days I snuggled a nearly 6 month old princess for most of the day.  When given the choice between a blog and a 6 month old princess who will let me snuggle her, I'll choose the princess.  Every time.

Anyway, I have pics and blog posts rumbling around somewhere.  I'm off to go find them.

Today

Today I started my day playing Littlest Pet Shop (LPS) with K.  I was the baby, she was both the mom and the dad.  M slept until 9, so around 8 executively decided it would be ok to play with M's castle and princesses so they could be neighbors with the LPS animals.

Today, I made waffles for breakfast and turned the left overs into eggos.  Which is what M got for breakfast when she wobbled downstairs at 9am.

Today, we went to the gym.  Our 2nd successfull attempt since the great gym incident last month. Even though she had just been there yesterday and I was carrying her in, M still felt the need to tell me that the would close her eyes while I opened the door so that I wouldn't make her get stitches again. (Ugh, still lots of mommy guilt for that one!)

Today at the gym, I spent 30 mins on the treadmill (before heading to weights) where I burned more than 200 calories and walked/jogged/ran nearly 2 miles.  And then we promptly came home for lunch where I polished off 6 Tagalong girl scout cookies as my dessert.  I could have stayed home and just NOT eaten the cookies and probably would have been further ahead.

Today, I'm still looking forward to a shower once the girls start quiet time (in just a few minutes!).  For now, they are playing LPS and princesses.  The LPS kids are having a sleep over at the princess' castle.

Today, I'm really sore.  Cause I worked out yesterday too and man, I'm outta shape!

Oh goodie, it's rest time!

Slacker...

It's been a busy few days around here! The weekends are always that way though.  It's the few days that we get to see C while home.  It's his busiest time now, so he actually spent Saturday at the office.  Sunday he went out early for his trip this week since he didn't want to be on a plane during the Super Bowl.  He left Sunday morning as the girls and I were getting ready for a busy day at Church.

We spent that evening at our friend/neighbors house and I had a great time watching the commercials instead of the game!

Yesterday, M had her stitches removed.  We went to her regular doctor - so that was a HUGE help because we absolutely LOVE our pediatrician.  When it was time for the stitches to be snipped, she laid back on the table and closed her eyes while they were cut.  I was a proud mama-bear.  She was so brave!

Tonight, K went with her friend A to her karate class for bring your friend night.  It was fun watching them punch and kick.  Unfortunately I forgot both my regular camera and my cell phone - so I don't have ANY pictures.  Sad!  You'll just have to trust me, it was super cute.

There you go, you are all caught up on what we've been up to since Friday.

How was your weekend?

Grocery Store: The Soundtrack

If you had been with or near us at the grocery store this afternoon, this almost a complete transcript of what you would have heard:

Girls, stop running.
You are going too far.
You are going to fast.
Stop, please.
I SAID, stop please.
You are in the way.
Come back please.
Stop when I stop, okay?
Don't crash your cart into your sister.
Don't crash your cart into other people.
You are still in the way.
Pay attention to where you are going.
I already asked you not to crash into your sister.
Please don't crash into the shelves.
Stop running please.
Come back.
Turn left, please.
No, your other left please.
Turn right this time.
Your OTHER right.
No, we can't buy cheetoes.
We already have spaghetti at home.
No, we don't need any more right now.
We have bread already.
No, this is going in mommy's cart not yours.
Because I said so, that's why.
No, we aren't getting candy.
Because we don't need candy.
Stop please.
No running.
No crashing.
Please stop whining or I'm putting back your Lucky Charms.
We have enough cereal in the cart.
No more fruit snacks.
Becuase we already got 2 boxes - thats enough.
Thats all now.
No, I'll scan that item.
Please go sit and wait for me while I pay.
Stop running.
Come over here now.
Go sit down and don't move until I tell you.
Do you need a time out?
Stop that.
Get down from there.
No climbing on that.
Please don't lean on that.
Because, I asked you not to lean on it.
No, not this week.
No, I don't have a coupon for sour patch kids.
Yes, if I get a coupon next week I'll buy them.
come here.
we are leaving now.
OK, Bye - see you next time I shop.

and as you can imagine, I felt a little like this:

Catching up.

I'm working hard to catch up to present day here on the blog.  I PROMISE that by the end of this week you'll have photos thru Christmas morning, at the very least.

And when I say promise, I mean that I've already got several posts in the works and nearly ready to go.

Tonight, while C went to bed early because of a back ache, I watched Marley and Me (yes, I cried) and worked on several posts for you.

So check back often this week...there are some cute photos coming up.
