Last month Princess K turned 7.  She chose a “Hip Hop Party” at the dance studio.  She invited about 20 friends.  They learned a short routine, had cupcakes and then performed for all the parents at the end.

4 years old

Little Mama turned four this week.  She’s thrilled and already counting the days until she turns five.

Last night we had a small (but LOUD) party at our house with a few of her friends (and mine).  The kids had a great time playing and trashing the house, while the moms had a chance to catch up.  It’s been so long since we’ve done that – we tend to hibernate in the winter and it’s much harder to get together when the kids have such extensive social calendars.

The Birthday Post | Little Mama turned 3

I just.can't.believe.it.  Could someone please explain to me where the last 3 years went?  I've completely lost them.  I know that I didn't age any - so how could she?

It feels like this was just yesterday.

Please forgive the fact that I'm a hot mess in that photo.  I'd just had a baby, you know.

We had a great time celebrating Little Mama's third birthday at Nick Universe inside the Mall of America.

We had 3 hours of rides and fun.

I was a little unsure about how she'd handle this one.  The Wonder Pets Fly Boat ride.  She wanted to go, K, was willing to chaperone her.  So I stood back as they lined up and hopped on.

And hopped, hopped and then hopped some more.

Can you see, they held hands the whole time.

We capped our trip off with lunch at McDonalds and a stop at the Barbie store.  Where I swore that I wasn't buying anything.  Ha.  Yeah, right.  They are too good at getting their way. And who could resist a $3 Barbie Doll.

Happy Birthday Little Mama!
WE LOVE YOU!

Dirty Thirty

Finally.  Oh!  Finally, I am not the only member of this household with the number 3 starting their age.  Whoo Hoo!
We celebrated on Sunday because  C had an early morning flight for work on Monday.

5th Birthday!

It just doesn't seem possible that our little Kaylee is 5 years old already (or that it's taken me over a month to post photos!)

She's been talking about turning 5 and having her birthday party at Pump it Up since about 3 days after she turned 4.

Pump it up is an awesome indoor inflatables place, where the kids get to jump and go crazy in the huge bouncy houses (6 of them total!) and then have cake, ice cream and open presents in the party room.

Unfortunately Pump it up is quite pricey - so we decided that it would be a good idea to invite her good friend Jacob to split the party - they have the same birthday and would be inviting all the same school friends.  It was a WIN all around.

And who wouldn't LOVE to open presents in this HUGE chair?

Maya was thrilled too.  Here she is showing off her "backstage pass" from the party.

The party was a rock star theme and one of the items in the SWAG bag was that backstage pass, with a photo of the birthday kids with each guest.

Kayleee is 4!!!

I can't belive that Kaylee is 4 already. It just doesn't seem like it's been 4 years since she was born. Time has really flown, and I'm sure before I know it we'll be dropping her off at college. I've already asked her to slow it down a little, so hopefully we can hold of on college for a little while.
She is very excited to be 4! Since Corey had to travel for work and wouldn't be home for her birthday we spent Saturday at the Minnesota Zoo. Both of the girls enjoyed seeing all of the animals and spending the day together in the sun.

After we got home from the zoo, Maya finished the nap she started in the car and Kaylee got to open her presents. Her 2 big requests this year: a baby that could go in the bathtub and princess dress up clothes. She wasn't dissapointed. In fact, not only did she get the baby and a princess dress, but so far she's ended up with THREE princess dresses. Having several works out great though, because then her friends can plan princess with her.
This year, she chose Tinkerbell for her cake decorations. This cake below was one that we shared on Saturday after dinner. It was perfect for the 4 of us. On Wednesday we celebrated, again, by having a few of her friends over for dinner and cake. Again, she chose Tinkerbell (you can see that cake in the very first photo up top). She enjoyed hving her friends, Ava, Andrea, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Katy and Avery (an their moms) over for dinner. I let her choose the menu for her friends and she chose: ham & cheese wraps, green beans and olives. I threw in some canned pears for good measure thinking that Kaylee & Maya could be the only ones who wanted the olives. WRONG. Those kids went through a can and a half of olives. I don't know what it is about those olives, but they love them.
:
All in all, Kaylee said she had a great birthday. She loves being FOUR!
