And this time it wasn’t MY fault!
K is so proud to have lost her very first tooth. It started wiggling a couple of months ago and in the last couple of weeks had gotten really loose.
We were pretty relentless in teasing her about pulling it. You know, the whole tie a string around it and a door knob bit, pulling it with pliers, etc. It was hanging by a thread we knew that it could come out at any moment.
Last Sunday after picking Grandma up at the airport, we stopped at Chili’s for lunch. K interruped the conversation to say “I think this is my tooth.” Sure enough, she had just spit her tooth out on the table. That night she fell asleep faster than she has in months, in anticipation of the tooth fairy.
Her tooth fairy loot? 2 whole dollars. One for the tooth and one for it being the FIRST tooth. I’m glad the going rate around here isn’t more than that.
She was pretty thrilled to get to go to school the next day and add her name to the class lost tooth poster.
