Once again, while Daddy was hard at work we had the day to play.
We decided that our next adventure would be at the Lincoln Children's Museum and we invited our Cousin D and her son K (who just turned one! Happy Birthday little man!) to come with us.
This museum was so much more than I expected it could be. I thought that we'd spend a couple of hours and be done. NO WAY. This was an all day adventure. We could have spent the whole week there!
We started out on the farm, where K got a chance to milk the cow.
Then it was time to suit up and toss the football around like the Huskers do.
M suited up both as a cheerleader and a football player!
K really enjoyed seeing herself on TV as a news reporter. Future career choice maybe?
We spent some time as fire fighters.
Tried out the police mortocycles.
And then decided it was time for lunch! K was beyond excited that there was a Noodle Co. on the corner by the museum. We had no choice but to finally let her try it out.
She enjoyed both her meal (buttered noodles with parmesean- what else?!) and the company. She sat next to little man K and had a blast entertaining him.
After lunch we walked back to the museum for a little more exploring.
A quick flight in the cessna and then it was time for a flight to the moon.
There were so many more fun things that we got to see and do, I just couldn't get photos of it all! I know we will visit the museum again, next time Daddy has a business trip to Lincoln.
After the museum, the girls and I walked over to the University campus and stopped off at the Nebraska Bookstore. They both fell in love with the corn heads, and begged for them. Unfortunately at $20 a pop; this mama had to tell them no.
They sure are cute Husker fans, though. Aren't they?
