Minnesota State Fair

Yesterday we took off work a little early and went out to the Great Minnesota Get Together. Boy, there sure were a lot of people there!! The fair is really all about the food. We were excited to throw all common sense in eating out the window and just eat anything we wanted! Here is some of what we sampled:

Turkey Sandwich, Lemonade, Pronto Pup (corn dog), cheese curds (fried cheese bits), porkchop on a stick, another pronto pup, more lemonade, and Sweet Martha's cookies. We loved all of these!!!

Every year there is a few new options at the fair and Corey was very anxious to try one of them. It was affectionately known as "pig lickers" or chocolate covered bacon. This combination sounded nothing close to appealing to me but Corey thought...bacon, chocolate...how could this be bad?? Well, guess what? He HATED it. I can't say I was surprised at all. Because, really, chocolate covered bacon?. EW. He said it was bad because of the salt and that it was cold. I just think it was gross all around. Take a look for yourself:

Other than the food, the girls had a blast! They got to go on a few rides, tried some food, and got carried or pushed around in the stroller for a few hours.

We had a great afternoon and we are still full more than 24 hours later!
