4th of July

We hope that you had a great 4th of July! We sure did. We spent the day relaxing at home and that evening we took the girls to their very first Major League Baseball game. The Twins vs. the Indians. They loved it. Kaylee had a great time getting to shout at the players and say "go twins" and "bring 'em home Joe!"
M loved the popcorn more than she loved the cheering, but she still managed to get some applause in here and there.

The girls and I posed for one last photo before we left the game at the top of the 9th inning. We needed to head over to the river for the fireworks show. The girls really were troopers through all of this. They stayed up late and had so much fun!

Here's Daddy and K snuggling and catching the first few fireworks. K didn't like the noise but got used to it.
Shortly before the show started M started to tell us that she wanted to go to sleep. With a little encouragement, she managed to stay awake for the show. She wasn't thrilled with the loud booms that they made but still couldn't look away either.

On the way home the girls both crashed quickly. Unfortunately, they were up earlier than ever the next day. There was no sleeping late for Mommy on Saturday!
This is about 1 minute of the fireworks we saw in Minneapolis:
