The girls and I were very excited to go out to the fair this year. I was excited for the yummy food and treats, the girls were excited to go on all of the rides.
We were excited enough that we went out on the very first day of the fair. It was us and a record setting 114, 439 other people that day. (Actually, I guess technically it would be us and 114,436 other people.)
We rode over on the bus with my good friend T and her daughter & one of K's BFF's A. We went our own ways when we got there but met up after a couple of hours for rides.
K&A went on this one twice...it was K's favorite!
All 3 girls had a blast on the mini-ferris wheel.
On our way out we went through the horse barns. The girls loved to see them.
Both girls were brave enough to pet some of the horses, or in this case a donkey.
We thought this horse, Pinto, looked like he should have been a giraffe. K also really loved this pony because Dora once rode a pony named Pinto.
It really was a fun (hot!) day at the fair. With all the rides, food, and treats the girls were both wiped out at the end of our short day there. M fell asleep on the bus ride back to our car and K was asleep soon after we were back in our own car and on the ride home.
They both had so much fun and wanted to go back. Unfortunately, it really is a once a year trip.
