Sicktastic

I know its been almost a month. It's a busy time of year. We had a great Thanksgiving in Nebraska with Daddy's family. That was the weekend that started our sickies. Saturday morning M woke up and looked little bit like someone had punched her in the face. She had goop coming from both eyes and I just knew she needed to get some eye drops. So we went to the doctor and she was diagnosed with a cold in her eye and tonsilitis. Poor kid, away from home and feeling so yucky.

That afternoon, Kaylee had some minor stomach thing and then I started in with it. Fever, chills, the works. Monday was a great day to spend in the car! Everything seemed ok for the week, but then Saturday morning came. The morning brought stomach flu for M. Sunday evening, Daddy had it too. K's cough was lingering but we didn't think a whole lot of it, but started to think that it should probably checked out. (She and M both had colds starting the weekend before Thanksgiving).

After having a tough time with scheduling we finally got in to see our pediatrician yesterday. I figured it was nothing, but it turned out that the poor kid had walking pneumonia. Luckily it doesn't seem to bother her too much, other than the cough and being much more sensitive than usual. I've spent the last 2 days home with the girls, getting them to rest and attempting to scrub every surface in the house so that I can disinfect and get rid of these germs before our next trips!

We are very excited for Christmas in California & New Year's in Hawaii!
